I played soccer my entire childhood, and once I was in college, my data and soccer brains started to merge. That led me to becoming an early acolyte of American Soccer Analysis, where I now co-host the flagship Major League Soccer podcast, write MLS season previews, and succumb to my friends’ obsessions with throw-ins. I also have professional experience in the MLS ecosystem. I spent a year working part-time with the Colorado Rapids’ analytics department, one of the most respected in the league. I’ve also consulted for a legendary MLS player during contract negotiations, who then secured a new deal with their long-time club.
